License checker

    Add an image-URL from Wikimedia Commons or Openverse, or the URL of a Wikipedia article, and we'll create a licence notice for you.

    Here's a tip: Wikimedia Commons image URLs start with https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File. Openverse image URLs start with https://wordpress.org/openverse/image/. For Wikipedia articles, enter the article URL, so for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image. If an article page contains more than one image, the generator will show you a selection of images and you can select the one for which you'd like to generate a licence notice.
